Official Access Paths

Please use the following addresses depending on your connection method and the size of the data you need to transfer:

🌐 WEB PANEL ACCESS (General Management & File Sharing)
• URL: https://storage.ftpsrv.com
• Best for: Accessing your files from any web browser, managing your data visually, and creating shared links or data drops for external users.

🚀 SFTP / FTPS ACCESS (Heavy Transfers & Large Files)
• Server / Host: ftp.ftpsrv.com
• Port: 2022
• Recommended use: This is the optimal, direct path to transfer individual files exceeding 100 MB, ensuring maximum connection stability and speed.

🔌 CLASSIC FTP / PASV ACCESS (IP Cameras & Legacy Devices)
• Server / Host: ftp.ftpsrv.com
• Port: 21 (or 2021)
• Transfer Mode: Passive Mode (PASV) — Required for NAT/Router compatibility
• Passive Port Range: 50000–50100
• Remote Path / Directory: / (Explicit root slash)
• Recommended use: Essential for IP cameras, automated scripts, and older systems that do not support modern SFTP/SSH encryption.

📁 SECURE WEBDAV ACCESS (Native Network Drive on your Computer)
• Network Address: https://dav.ftpsrv.com
• Security: Active SSL Encryption (HTTPS).
• Recommended use: Map your cloud storage space as a local hard drive in Windows or macOS. Note: Optimized for daily file management, reading, and direct editing (100 MB per-file upload limit under this specific method).

Recommended Applications (Free & Open Source)

Our infrastructure is fully compatible with industry-standard tools, allowing you to manage your backups at no additional cost:

  • WinSCP / FileZilla (Windows / macOS / Linux): Traditional desktop clients. Configure them with the host ftp.ftpsrv.com and port 2022 for massive or very heavy file transfers.
  • Cyberduck (Windows / macOS): An intuitive and streamlined visual explorer. This is the perfect option if you prefer a direct graphical setup using the secure WebDAV address https://dav.ftpsrv.com.
  • Duplicati (Automated Backups): If you need your computer to perform unattended, scheduled backups (e.g., hourly), Duplicati runs smoothly in the background, encrypts your data for extra privacy before uploading, and connects natively to our paths.

FTP Connection Guide: How to Avoid “421 Too Many Connections” Errors

If you encounter errors such as “421 Too many connections from this IP”, “Maximum number of connections exceeded”, or temporary server locks when uploading multiple files, your FTP software is attempting to open more simultaneous data streams than permitted by your account.

To resolve this issue and ensure all queued uploads complete smoothly, configure your FTP client (FileZilla or WinSCP) to limit active connections and process transfers sequentially through the background queue.

1. FileZilla Configuration

Step 1: Limit Maximum Connections in Site Manager

  1. Open FileZilla.
  2. Go to the top menu and click File > Site Manager (or press Ctrl + S).
  3. Select your FTP/SFTP site connection from the left panel.
  4. Click on the Transfer Settings tab.
  5. Check the box labeled Limit number of multiple connections.
  6. In the Maximum number of connections field, set the value to 1 or 2.
  7. Click OK to save your settings.

Pro Tip: Setting this limit to 1 or 2 ensures you never exceed server socket thresholds while keeping transfers moving steadily in a single line.

Step 2: Configure the Transfer Queue

  1. Go to Edit > Settings… in the top menu.
  2. Select Transfers from the left menu tree.
  3. Set the following values:
    • Maximum simultaneous transfers: 1 or 2
    • Maximum simultaneous downloads: 1
    • Maximum simultaneous uploads: 1
  4. Click OK to save.

2. WinSCP Configuration

Step 1: Limit Parallel Connections in Session

  1. Open WinSCP.
  2. On the Login screen, select your saved site profile and click Edit.
  3. Click the Advanced… button (located below the connection parameters).
  4. In the left tree, navigate to Environment > Transfer or Server.
  5. Set Maximum number of parallel connections to 1 or 2.
  6. Click OK and save the session.

Step 2: Configure Background Queue Rules

  1. Go to Options > Preferences… (or press Ctrl + Alt + P).
  2. Select Transfer > Background / Queue from the left panel.
  3. Under the Queue limits section:
    • Set Max background transfers to 1.
  4. Ensure the option to wait for active tasks before initiating new ones is enabled.
  5. Click OK.

Summary of Benefits

  • No IP Locks: Prevents automated security filters from dropping sessions due to socket spikes[cite: 4].
  • Data Integrity: Prevents files from stalling, corrupting, or timing out halfway through[cite: 4].
  • Continuous Flow: The background queue automatically handles network hiccups and resumes queued files seamlessly[cite: 4].

Collaboration Tools: Shared Links (Shares)

From your own Web Panel, you can independently manage access to your files to share them with external clients or collaborators:

  • Protected & Temporary Links: Restrict access with an exclusive password or schedule an automatic expiration date on the calendar.
  • Data Dropzones (Upload-Only Access): Generate a link where recipients only see a box to drag and drop files. They can send information directly to your space without being able to view any of your other private folders.
